While any of our three veterinarians can perform surgery, most of the surgeries at Central Maui Animal Clinic are performed by Maui's only board certified veterinary surgeon, Dr. Curtis Willauer. A diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Willauer completed a three-year residency program, meeting specific training, research and caseload requirements before passing a rigorous examination in order to qualify as a surgical specialist. Board-certified surgeons have the training, expertise and equipment to perform the most demanding procedures. Dr. Willauer's skills run the gamut from routine neutering to orthopedic repairs to pacemaker implantation. Central Maui Animal Clinic is proud to have Dr. Willauer on staff to ensure the best outcome with the least stress for our animal patients and their human families.
